As a person of the Trades, you are eligible to deduct any cost that you spend on tools you have purchased to earn an employment income on your tax returns as a tradesperson. Within this cost includes your GST, sales tax and or HST you have paid on these items. You are required to be that you are eligible for the tools deduction.
